Help with HDS 7M

While playing onshore with my new unit, I hit the pages button and selected the Chart + info button,
Next thing i know i am in Key Biscayne WTF ??? And can't get back to home
Have i bought a dodge or has anyone else had similar problems

Which Key Biscayne?? There's one north of Two Rocks. Is your GPS able to track satellites? i.e. is it connected and reading outside your house?

When i turned it on, it showed the cursor at quindalup, mucked about pinging spots at wrights and Nato reef etc to get a feel, as soon as i hit the chart button i was transported to Miami on a completely differently screen setup. I lost the map layout and now have a cursor at Key Biscayne.
Unless key Largo is a Bar at Sorrento Keys I am Foocked..

Hi MOB
Just checked on my HDS 8m and can't duplicate what you've got on your screen but try this:
Press the Pages button
Scroll to Charts via the left and right arrow keys on the keypad
Using the up and down arrow keys, make sure you've only got Charts selected
Press Enter
This should give you the chart of where you are now, assuming that your unit is On and detecting satellites......well, that's what mine is doing right now.

Thought you disappeared for a while, I would say that the unit couldn't pick up the satellites, underneath the carport it would struggle.

Where did you but it?
Was it a US import or a locally bought one??
I got scared off buying a US import because of the 'geofence' that's included in the US versions...they aint gonna work here in Oz!!
Got a great deal on mine as the Trailcraft dealer is also a Lowrance agent....that's the least he could do for me after I bought a new Trailblazer off him

they all do that
in simulate mode ie when not locked onto sattelites if your playing with it under your carport and it does it just manually scroll the chart back to perth

Thanks guys got it sorted. It was under a tin roof and as strike_zone says it must of picked up satellite's when i wheeled her outside.
Local rusty, i wouldn't trust imported for something as important as this, although it did pass my mind that maybe the salesman had sold me a lemon.
All good and can't wait to get out there.
