Golden Ponds

Gday guys,
Thinking of heading down to Golden Ponds to have a bit of a go (first time) on Sunday, given the warm weather hopefully the barra will be active. Have read through the past threads but can't seem to find their opening hours on their site or here. Anyone know what time they open and close? Tried giving them a ring today but couldnt' get through, busy perhaps.
Also any tips or reports from ppl who have been there in the past would be much appreciated. From what I gather the pellets they sell are the go, wedged into a small hook under a float. I'd be keen to try some hard bodies or soft plastics too though, so lure selection tips that have worked in the past would be great!

Bread is the go
Roll in fingers, And put a small bit on the hook
And spinner bait work well

for the barra all id use
for the barra all id use would be small minnow lures small stick baits and minnow style placcys even though they are farmed they still hit moving targets . alot more fun than bait and you can sight cast for them

not sure what time the open i think its like 8:00am but i no the close at around 5:00pm

Thanks for the site TT but it doesn't seem to (or I can't find) the opening times.
I just got through to the aquaculture section and they confirmed they are open 8am to 5pm every day 7 days a week, with a $10 fee for fishing.
I'll bring some bread, spinners, little hard and soft minnows and some floats lol!

I went last sunday and didnt even see a fish let alone catch one!! Fished bait and lures for 3 hours in each of the ponds for nothing!! Guy took my $10 and then told me that i wouldn't catch anything as the weather was to warm.

As stated in the first post I gave it a go ringing and didn't get through. Second try managed to get a hold of someone and it's 8am to 5pm 7 days a week, as in the post just above Rodrats lol :P
But having seen Rodrat's comment I might give it a miss...

Fair bit cooler now
Anyone been of late? Im getting a bit keen,mite have a bash down there sometime soon. It must be almost 10 years since Ive been. Anyone know how big the bream are now? they were all of about 15 or 20cm back then lol

Went for a flick on sunday. told the boss it was father son bonding and it would do a mothers heart proud. cant believe she bought it..... anyway..
Saw a couple of fat perch landed behind the shop but no luck for me. one on a soft plastic one on corn????
Paddled around the big setup to no avail but after burleying with pellets saw some big splashs, still nothing.
Front pond was cleaner water and the boy landed a 750gm black bream then they kicked us out...
Insert humerous comment here....

been there a few times
been there a few times lately, managed to get some nice sized trout, largest one up around 2kg, was fat as!
please throw them back though, i can only imagine theres not a large amount of large ones in there..
and a tip, keep the rod low, they love to jump in there, just for fun i wanted to see how high i could get them jumping, got a small one to launch a good meter out of the water, but that being said i've seen a fair few people there lose them when they have jumped around, gf has had the same problem, i tend to keep the rod low and to the side for trout and i very rarely lose them, even let a couple run for fun
