They fit small skirts perfectly. A tad expensive but razor sharp out of the packet. I have been running 10/0,s. VMC do a good hook but in a heavier guage and you have to file the point and barb down a fair way to get a good hookup. Hope this helps a bit

Awesome hook for light game, using up to 15kg line with the bigger ones. Exactly what sort of lures are you running? I'd look at a 6/0 or 8/0.

I was trying to find hooks suitable for some unrigged jellybabies I have and just went with some owner aki hooks which seem to work fine. Not stainless, but at the rate i go through them I dont think it matters a lot.

Been using a few SL12's for fly tying and they're pretty damn sharp. Otherwise my skirted lures are rigged up by stainless hooks I got from Ryan (and attached properly, again thanks to Ryan)

Rate them highly as brodz said upto 15kg, carnt take wraps on billfish though, straighten them pretty quick

I'm running a few of those small Williamson skirts - 140 and 150mm I think they are with 80lb leader tied directly to the hook and 15kg mainline.

on what area you fish. I know your targetting tuna but what else is in the same area that may crop up such as billies, mackeral ect. You could run a short straight shank hook with a short section of multi strand wire to the underside of the head and your 80lb for the rest!! just a thought. Saves loosing expensive lures when the toothy fish moove in.
