Footy season
Well she's starting to get to the pointy end...
Big game coming up this week with Richmond V Geelong...
Could very well be the game that sets up the top 4...
Danger game for the Eagles this week against the Saints, a game they should win...
Port all but locked into top two and in my opinion the team to beat...
Geelong are flying and one more win will secure top 4 same for the Lions ( unless the Eagles have two big wins )
Richmond can't go to sleep now otherwise the Eagles could relegate them to 5th and a straight sets exit would go down like a lead balloon...
Melbourne still have a glimmer of hope, It looks like they are the only team outside the 8 that could steal a T8 finish...
Collingwoods draw against Richmond could be very handy to slot them inside the 8....

The pies showed some good effort last night...might be worth a few bob as i'm sure they will start rougher than the new North link freeway.
Well with all the talk after the trade and draft period....Premiership window....Million Doller Kelly.....Be a right old giggle if they get up.

I am surprised they coming back into the West but it's great for the state and their supporters to hopefully get to the game.
WC finishing 5th they deserve the chance at home but this year I'm surprised it's happening.
Of the 3 sides WC could've been playing I'd say they would have least liked to have to play the pies.
I think they would've rolled the saints and dogs at home but I think Collingwood will be a tough match.
Of course if you ask a bloke like Simo they'll smash the pies and suck shit and all that type of dribble...

Bad news for Elliot Yeo unfortunately going into the finals
On the flip side, a few big names should be fit for the big game against the Pies.
They (Pies) will be a tough team to beat, though I think the Dogs may have been a tougher test on their current form.
Whether either team will go any further into the finals remains a question mark, but funny things happen in footy.
Good to see s few Eagles making all Australian this year, including Nic Nat,though I'm sure some here will have a different view

I was speaking to a fella who is the runner for West Perth and he reckons Alec Waterman is unstoppable around the ball and is a clear level above the rest of the WAFL boys bombing them in from 60m for fun.
After recovering from the severe chronic fatigue that saw him part ways with West Coast he could well be the first player to be drafted by father/son selection twice and perfect timing with our lack of draft picks in 2020.

You do know that Collingwood
You do know that Collingwood choked in the finals of 1929 and 1930 and under the farcical early 1900s Argus finals system were able to challenge the rightful premier? This also occured in 02, 17 and 19. They also challenged and double choked in 05, 15, 22 and 26 in a suburban league with 8 teams
Bit of history for ya Skull but banter aside here's hoping for a cracking game with 35,000 strong making noise that can be heard from the eastern States.

Blah Blah Blah
We have heard that a million times Frosty and quite frankly who gives a shit, he couldn't have been too bad otherwise the Eagles would have had to act under the duty of care.
Now once again, as you seem to have an issue with understanding how the play unfolded, Maynard was blocked so as he couldn't contest the mark.
That doesn't change the result, but as I have stated on this very thread, Eagles kissed on the dick by the umpires.

I disagree re the block
Rioli was moving towards the incoming ball and Maynard was initially contesting with Rioli. Sheed dropped back from his position and took the uncontested mark and then slotted it through the middle.
Collingwood and other supporters have a different view of course

Personally as a WCE fan I've enjoyed our games against the Pies in recent years. Of course it's easy to say that after 2018 but I was also at the 2006 GF and whilst we won in a thriller (and deserved the win) that was nowhere near as good a game of footy as 2018. The thrillers against the Pies, win or lose, have been crackers (Round 17 last year for instance) whereas the close ones against Sydney were thrillers but not always pretty to watch.
Hopefully the Eagles returns from injury will make the difference as recent form is not good. Optus Stadium is a big plus too. Should be a good game!

Always an interesting point
Always an interesting point of view Simo, often comparable to my 6 year olds. I think he'd probably not stomp his foot as hard as you when trying to make his point though.
Some like some dislike the bye, I'm on the fence but I do agree ( especially in a compressed season ) if it freshens the players up and we get a red hot finals series with the teams at mostly full strength then it sounds like a good idea.
A bloke like you Simo full of whinge will only ever give a biased opinion and how it affects the Eagles.
Without the bye this year the Eagles might not have had a home final.
