Has anyone been down to Floreat Drain or Cott Groyne lately. I was wonedring if the weed had cleared up at Floreat and whether there had been any fish about at those two spots lately? Many thanks, Colin Hay

Been to floreat drain on the weekend and during the week. Didnt get much weed (only once or twice in a couple of sessions, not every cast like it is sometimes). The sand has piled up a bit such that the shore line during a lull is a bit futher out than the end of the drain. Might of been the tides a bit, but theres definately more sand.
Could only get a couple of meters into the clear water last few times I went there with my 9', so the banks/swell combo wasnt great for lure chucking but bait would probably work. No fish I caught btw.
