Just wondering what you guys think about fishing the North West on the full moon?
Good, bad or no effect on the fish biting?

Surface wise I think they're very quiet. Take a look at the moon phases when major billfish comps are organised, gives you a few clues.

Never had much success trolling for pelagics on the full moon. Still catch macks on floaters then, but they just dont seem to interested in lures.

We went out on the day before the full moon last October at Christmas Island....got one small YFT and seven wahoo to 23 kilos and came back in early because the 300 litre esky wouldn't hold any more...but that's Christmas Island!
