I'm sure you're going to get a lot of tips on where to try, but I've only been there as a deckie myself.

it depends on how far you want to travel and weather you can launch from tantas or just from the gulf (bundegi or marina). if from the gulf head out to the back of the islands for some trolling up around the top end of north murion , from there you can just simply go out into the unknown and look for ground when you look at your gps you will see a lot of contour lines verry close to each other and we have picked up some nice reds from out there ,plenty of ground to look at while travelling so keep an eye on the sounder, as far as tantas goes again there is lots of ground to cover . I have seen on here people getting nice reds right through to big goldbands right out to the 100 plus mtr areas , but again look for ground while travelling. good luck and hope the trip goes well, almost forgot, for trolling from tantas travel south along the back of the reefs in the 30 to 40 mtr area and you will get some great macks and you never know you might get something bigger, if your trolling deep divers there is the chance of a trout as well
