Exmouth 2026 holiday rant.
What a bloody dilemma been booked into our annual Exxie trip starting on the 5th of May to the 27th and now it's too late to cancel as I'll lose 3 weeks of fully paid rent being under 60 days, could have got it back if over 60 days. Ol' mate Trump knows how to give me the "tom tits" for sure but hopefully the fuel prices don't go much further north, question is there other Fishwhreckers in the same leaky boat and up there around the same time? Turn 79 ANZAC DAY so was thinking and I'd get another 12 months of demersal fishing in and along comes Jacquie Jarvis and now the Orange Idiot to upset the apple cart. Think setting up a Go Fund Me for a fishing trip would go down like a turd in the punch bowl on Christmas Day and as successful as my Lotto tickets, rant over.

Yeah it sucks when we plan
Yeah it sucks when we plan these sorts of trips way out and something like this comes along and effs it up for you. Weather is usually the unknown but this fools "little excursion" shouldn't be the thing that ruins plans. How he can even use those words when it is people's lives at stake just shows what a piece of shit he is. I didn't think I could dislike a politician more than Chris "there is no fuel crisis" Bowen but along came Pete Hegseth and proved me wrong. I genuinely hope Trump and hsi merry band of sycophants are held to justice one day. Rant over.
Hope you manage to make it work Blu2fish. The idea of 3 weeks in Exmouth in May is very appealing!

We are deffo doing Gnaraloo
We are deffo doing Gnaraloo April 23 for 9 nights, gonna cost a bomb but I don't give a fck I just want to fish.
The only issue is fuel supply, we'll take all the boat fuel up there if it's still an issue by then.
Couldn't have said it better Dave btw. He's fcked the planet and people still blindly follow this peanut.

we are due monkey mia 27th april. as long as they have supply, i will prob still go , as am getting desperate for a fish! been too bloody windy for the fads, and getting bored of crabbing lol! worst case wont tow the boat, and booka charter instead. ( would likely still be ahead lol)
luckily withmy booking only need 3 days notice to cancel, so hopefully things ease a bit in the mean time!! amazing how 1-2 or 2 people with the wrong amount of poer can stuff thngs up for the rest of the world!

Got I trip down to point
Got I trip down to point Samson early may. As it's only 200 away that's not an issue with the price of diesel. The petrol in the boat will be the killer if we can get it that is. Just have to limit our trips out

Heading to Warroora for 2
Heading to Warroora for 2 weeks/Exmouth 1 week this Saturday 28th from Esperance, now pushed out the departure day til Sunday because of the bloody Cyclone. But nothing will stop us heading up for a fish. Reckon the fuel prices will add another $1000 easy onto the trip but its been a long time coming and my daughter is Exxie so hanging to see her.

Gnaraloo
Yep in the same situation as Seakem... We head up to Gnaraloo on th 25th. We have been able to organise unleaded through farming friends so has worked out really well getting it cheaper. We are more concerned about the Diesel heading up, dont care about cost only care about supply. We need to fill up at Gero and Carnarvon both ways so hoping both towns still have Deisel
.... Good thing Andy is going up a couple of days before us he can give us a run down on the trip up hahaa.... If you need diesel and get stuck let us know Andy haha
I go boating not fishing

Thanks Mate I might be taking you up on that :P , like you say diesel is my only concern. We'll be taking all the boat fuel from here, let's hope to FCK the station doesn't get hit too hard in the next couple of days.

We were going to Shark Bay
We were going to Shark Bay these holidays but i simply refuse to line some billionaires pockets towing at $60/100k based on $3.00 /l on diesel.

I was thinking about doing
I was thinking about doing the Canning Stock Route late may but I am guessing fuel will be about 5 buck a litre out there if they have any. Might just go back up to Broome and work for 6 months just to fill the fourby

don't let the price of petrol make you a prisoner of a life style ,if you want to go, stuff it bite the bullet and enjoy the trip.

I reckon you'd need to give
I reckon you'd need to give it very serious thought if you were doing a trip as a single income family thing. If it's a couple of employed guys it may be a hit you can live with. One solution would be to drink less but is it THAT serious? Just go mate.

Jumped on a charter booking
Jumped on a charter booking mid last year for Steep in June, there is a clause in the fine print on fuel prices though.
Hopefully everything settles by then, no way it will come back to what it was...never does.
