...he wasn't an Australian (or some other "foreigner") on holiday? It IS summer over there, and a holiday destination!
Regarding drones: Obviously highly maneuverable and capable of being highly intrusive...and there'd have to be laws regarding altitude/noise/etc, wouldn't there?
Only going to get worse as more drones are available on the market. I see the guy targeted it and probaly didnt need to, but how long was it buzzing around anoying every one ?
I have had a few come near me on the river, with most doing the right thing but one nearly hit me and i wasnt very happy to say the least.
If i one starts buzzing around me again , i'd be happy to loose a few meters of braid to put it in the drink. I like them ( drones ) but think we will see plenty of new laws in the future restricting their use as more and more problems arise.
There's some potential to use them to scope out areas to fish or even drop lures on the other side of schools of fish that are spooked by the sound of a boat
yep can see lots of futre issues with them being used as they become readily available to the lesser common sense users around who like this sort of gadgetry
was swimming and sunbaking , enjoying a quiet bit of beach to ourselves last summer when this bloke who had kilometres of un occupied beach in the other direction to use decided it would be fun to buzz us repeatedly from long distance with his drone , came within 10 metres of us ,
he finally stopped when i started heading his way in the vehicle
very annoying to say the least
