As Wrass' says but also the height of the stern where the motor bolts on.A lot of boats have very high sides but the stern is cut right down.In most swampings this is usually where the water comes in first.
Its better to go for a longer shaft motor and the higher stern
thanks guys for ur help. checked it out and yes most tinnies over 4.2 are cut out quite deep at the stern the tinnie im lookn at has all safttey gear but im in no hurry so ile keep lookin cheers!!

check the freeboard mate,
check the freeboard mate, esp if your planning on going a ways out ! And don't skimp of safety gear and radio etc...
