(Dave(y)) Miracles DO Happen

Dave(y) telephoned me today. Twice in fact! Understandably (and I know you do) I thought IMMEDIATELY that Dave needed (yet more) fishing advice. (Lets face it, he needs all the advice he can get!)

Imagine my suprise, that, when I bestowed him with a phone call me from me, he actually advised him and Ron had ACTUALLY (Surprised) caught some fish! Without even my help. My goodness, they must have been desperate.

The story goes that Ron and Dave caught some thumper salmon - they were leeping out of the water!

OH DAVE, how much did you pay for someone to load up the lines? Sealed

LOL Colin, your a funny man
Alas tis true, Ron and I had a good trip out this morning.
started out from emu point and headed off to bald head.
water was very sloppy there so we didnt stay long.
went to breaksea for a bit of trolling, first up was a nice Bonito.then as we were moving along side the island the rods started to go off
first fish was a big salmon which unfortunately came off at the boat taking with it a shiny new skirted lure.
next a double hook up with both fish lost :-( (im still practicing playing a fish whilst steering the boat)
double hook ups again with salmon landed on both rods after lots of aerobatics on the salmons part.
after another successful double hook up we decided to call it a day and head home.
The new (to me) boat handled the sloppy water beautifully and was fun to drive.
all in all a good morning with only a twisted ankle (dodgy kill tank lid) sore legs (seat too close to helm) and backache (salmon) to complain about
Modifications have already been made ready for tomorrows effort.
I cant wait to get another fishing lesson from the great sage :-)
