Curse is lifted!

Well the curse has been lifted from fisho-ron's boat in regards to hooking up fish! However, the curse of the sharks on the barges still hasn't. I didn't realise just how bad the shark situation was until I saw it for myself. Won't be in a rush to get back out there thats for sure, waste of fish and gear! Was still good to have a few short lived tussles today and watching Ron put in a good effort of shark fishing with his 150lb Tiagra set up! How's the back Ron? Thanks for the trip out anyway mate!

agree mate, i dont think i want to do that again and the back is hurtin real bad atm.

it was good to get alot of hookups today, esepcially when the 3 of us were on at the same time, but a shame to lose them to the sharks.

but we did the righty and moved on when we got sharked, cant do much more eh?

thats a 25kg rod there mate and i thought it was gunna snap  acouple of times.

they are some biggens alright, proberly bigger than what i expected.

cheers ron

You may have a new appreciation of what i was saying about the size of these things.WinkWhat you guys are trying has been done before and we all failed big time.We have tried with 37 big game rods and full lockdown with 60 kilo plus line and all they do is punish you.My arms and back are aching just thinking and typing about it.Laughing

ben got a sambo/amber just about to the boat 20-30mtrs and got taken as well.

Was the outer barge where we got the AJ actually. Went to Southern first hoping to find some fish and avoid the sharks but none to be found so we checked out the others and found the fish... and sharks. Moved on though and checked out a few other spots but didn't find anymore fish.

we tryed all the others with nothing on mate, so went to the north and got sharked and left fairly quickly,

but i also wanted to have a go at the sharks anyway, i still think they are gettable, might just have to play them longer.
