There is a couple of small reefs near the busso jetty which i can swim to from shore i snorkel and look for the hole that they are hiding in drop a herring on a pencil jig next to the hole and they will come out almost every time.

Dawesville Cut...
I watched a guy rock up with a long gidgie and a piece of fish on the end of a stick, he dangled the fish in the rocks until an occy grabbed it, then gidgied said occy. In less than an hour he had 5 or 6 beauties! I reckon this would work on any rocky groyne where you have a steady supply of clean, moving water, and good visibility so you can see what you're doing. North and South Moles would hold a few I reckon.
I made some occy pots out of 90mm PVC, and put some concrete in them, and dropped them in some sand holes amongst the weed in Busso, but in six days of trying I only got one very small one.

Was out squidding last Sept and was getting stuck into em amongst the safety Bay moorings. Figured i'd tie up to a mooring for a bit. Turned out my mooring was in fact an okkie pot...albeit empty *darnnit*
