Bottom bashing our from Dawsville Cut??

hi guys

I've been heading to Mandurah this weekend, fortunate enough to have some friends with a house on the canals in Dawsville.  Can anyone recommend any bottom fishing out from the cut.  I was going to start with the Five Fathon Bank, and look around for some ground.  How close is the bank to shore down that way.  Any other tips for that area would be awesome.

Five Fathom Bank
is only 15 minutes out going a reasonable speed
Have tried out on it many times with no result, alot of fish on the fishfinder
but can never hook anything but did hook a big bronze whaler one day.

Decent fish are along way out because its all pretty flat out there.

When I lived in Bunbury I used to head north to the bottomof the Bovards and do well on Dhuies in as little water as 17 metres. I would suggest purchase a map of the area and head south as far as you are able.

Burley hard

At this time of year some good size skippy hang around the FFB. You just need to burley for them. Small chance you may get lucky with something bigger. Most decent catches come from out wide. You need to pick your days because the swell is running at 2.5 - 3Mt at the moment. Good luck>
