Quobba
The best time to go ballooning at Quobba is any time after mid April through to the end of July with the top time being April/ May with the mackies turning it on.
Any wind from East through to North east is as good as you will get. There is a couple of spots where South east is ok, namely High Rock or Red Bluff
But take the time to read the brass plaques listing the names of people who have drowned after being washed in, they are at all of the popular spots each one is for that particular spot and there are a lot of them so please take care!

Tides
Agree with comments above. have a look at the tides as well. We went up in August and had low tide mid to late morning. This allowed us to balloon in the early morning and then move to the lower ledges north of the station to spin. Also dropped some baits at the 2 mile and had a good time catching pinkies, emporer and jacks during low tide. just need to watch the swell.
