beach camping and fishing

hi guys
thinking of going camping over newyears long weekend with a few mates. we live in mandurah any ideas where is a good spot that you can legally stay on the beach. dont really want to travel any more then 2-3 hours. we all have 4x4s.

That would have to be a good 4 hours atleast to get to the beach, nice spot tho!

Head down south. Gardiner river east of Windy harbour, mouth of the Warren river. Jasper beach, Black point, White point, Boranup end of Hamelin bay [if you are sneaky] South Conto or in the national park at Contos or Slippery and Slopey rocks.
