they did it the way men did it back then. they got a telephone pole. tied some cable to it and use a butchers meat hook(with the carcass still atached). but thats just what i think
107kg basse groper. that is huge and to get it back then when the technology wasnt that great it would have been one awsome effort.
that guy in the video is a total tool, why would you even want to hook a fish like that apart from trying to be a big man on camera only to come unstuck by breaking his rod . anyone knows you just dont do that sort of thing with a rod

The head would make a nice change to lamb stew. I don't think there was a lot of expensive recfish gear that went into catching that.
