What big fish eat

Makes you wonder why it bothered , must be instinct from when it was a little tacker .
I caught this 117cm fish yesterday and had these little white bait coming out of it`s mouth . Gives me a whole lot of confindence for the soft plastic brigade !!

I caught a mullaway in shark bay once and when it came aboard it spat a ball of whitebait onto the deck.
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!

Had a rankin come up and spew a ball (2 fists sizes big) of whitebait up at exxy.
It was squishy and made a real mess on the rental boat
Made a great paste that got into the carpet and everything.
mmmmm regurgitated semi-digested whitebait....
ideal for refrying into thai cupcakes?

Both species are excellent for that . although whitebait is best dipped in flour then hot oil !!!
The difference between boys and me is that i give the croakers are hiding , just like I do with anything that smells fishy , alive or dead

Experienced the same thing, mulla's with whitebait/anchovies/southern hardie heads being spewed up & in guts......that's when i started using smaller flys with great results!

using fly gear , you must have some pretty hefty stuff .
