I caught a dampier stone fish on my last trip. Not worth getting stung, cut it off.

Not sure if its a stonefish Big Kev, think it might be a stargazer or something like that.

Heres a photo of one, did it look like this?:

Last Trip Onslow

Sun, 2007-01-14 17:55

Weather was against us too windy to go too far wide.Adam its not a Stargazer but have been informed it may be a Frogfish whatever,it looks like a Stoney to me so I took no chances.  the fishing was very slow. We anchored behind Direction Island sheltered from the elements all up we kept 5 Blueline Emperors,1 Trout,1 Chinaman some asorted Cod,Snappa,Spannish Flag which were released.I also caught and released a nice Queenie which took a set of gangs that were retrieved at pace no bait.Planning a trip in March better weather I hope.
