man i want to go there and get some of the monsters ive seen landed by the locals at the end of the jetty. they use heavy hand lines, i wanna use my squidding rod and jig. it should be so much fun.
from all reports you'll have to wait untill Feb to even get on the jetty. Even worse it sounds like the contractor (marine and civil) has gone into administration so who knows what will happen?
i've only ever got them off the jetty or in a boat, saying that you only need to be 100m out
JRjetski, don't try your luck around the jetty, go within 100m and you'll probably be reported and fined. Heaps of workers/staff/people watchers around. The jetty is closed and boats arn't allowed near it. I think the end is a sanctuary zone too.
I'm sure the squid will be all over the place. May not be necessary to go close to the jetty. Seems like there are many spots around that area. Just got to find them. If we had 10 or 12 JetSki Fisho's we should be able to scan the area pretty quick and get some great spots. The versatility of JetSki's, just not enough fisho's yet.
you can catch them pretty much anywhere in Geographe bay. In my experience <2Nm from shore seems best. It's a huge area so there's no shortage of likely spots
