Shizz with a big Kidney Slapper
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Wed, 2006-12-06 11:56
Went for a fish with the Shizz this morning and whilst I was busy anchoring the boat with my rod this big kidney slapping king george gave him a bit of fun. Got bugger all else but wrasse and a few pieces of coral for myself, but still good to get out there for a few hours before the sea breeze came in. He went 54-55cm.

On the 3 mile, just out from scarbs. Was quite pleasant out there until the south wester came in around 11. One of the better KG's I've seen for a while.

Boat of Destruction
I'll let Shizz explain his boat, but he had me worried when he told me it was a ten pull start! Think we got to about 12 and a half, with quite a few half counts and whammo, there was life and off we punted. Would definately liked to have got onto a patch of them, gave a pretty good account of himself and betchya he tasted bloody good.

River
I know shizz got a 45cm king george in the lower reaches of the river a week or two ago. Try around mossies or somewhere with light weed banks.

Plans
Our plans were to head wide and either go sambo jigging or head to two rocks but unfortunately Gully had to pull out last minute and had to fly north for work. He was spewn, was looking foward to testing out his new custom stick that Campbells built along with the new Penn Torque. To say we were all spewing was an understatement, an unlucky king george was better than nothing thou.. :)
