I have caught these sharks
I have caught these sharks before over east in 300mtrs plus water.
Thats about the size they grow to. We kept a couple as they don't return well from that depth and they are not to bad on the tooth.
Good photo.

Geen eyed sharks. You know
Geen eyed sharks. You know you on mud/fine sand when your getting them buggers.
I haven't seen it but someone told me something wierd. Put the fillets on the kitchen bench and turn out the lights. He reckons they glow in the dark. Bio-luminesence gives off a eerie green glow.
I dont know if its the same fish as all he told me is that he caught a heap of little sharks out deep and the fillets where "radioactive green" in the dark.
He didnt eat them after that!

Doesnt quite look right. Dorsal fin looks too far back on the one on the site you posted. Not sure hard to compare the photos. Maybe?

Spur Dogs
They are definately spur dogs. We used to get heaps out deep in South Aussie. They only grow to about 75cm. We ate a few, there not to bad. Watch out for the spikes, a friend of ours got one in his forearm, he couldnt work for 3 months as it was swollen and infected and he couldnt lift his arm above his shoulder as the pain to intense.
