Sam's Grey Banded Cod

Went for a fish with Sam today, he got 2 Grey Banded Cod. I got nothing, but did manage to donate lots of tackle to the ocean.

I'd say fairly deep? Gotta be keen to do that and kudo's to those that do.

nice one
nice fish beats that red snapper you got first up hey. was that in the same area. i was on mats boat we didnt manage much else apart form a great big bronzey that kept us amused for a while. and a few tuna.

would have been hurting by the end of that it was a long way up winding nothign let alone a nice fish like that

Had about that much line out this arvo in 50m, very fast drift.

made me piss...for the first 30m of the fight and then 160m of dead weight with the occasional head thump haha
made it even harder to wind up without a handle on the reel aswell

Nice fish, great eating, much like dhui just a little firmer flesh. Could you hold bottom ok in the 200m yesterday? We were in the 110m and couldn't.

wasnt the best out there
wasnt the best out there jason, could get the bottom but had to let a fair amount of line out, but was just managable for us
