Snapped Rods
Don't want to upset anybody here, but I guess the obvious question that needs to be asked is, 'are you setting the drag' too high? (Accepting that there will always be the posibility of dud rods). But, if I may say, two rods on one day = 2 dud rods?
I pulled a 20K Sambo up from only 15m with a 200 - no problems at all.

Gotta Bight Gotta Bight
I'm on!
LOL
Is the 400 a deep jig trigger? They'd be rated for fairly heavy Jigs. Too stiff or you just worried about the break? Remember this thread is about snapped Jigwrex rods LOL (well one anyway).
Between the Sambo and the Queeny - hmmm, different fights. Sambo was longer and overall stronger - but your right, the 'sudden lunge' factor was definately with the queenie, and, let's face it, it's the sudden lunch and that brief moment before the drag cuts in that will do the damage.

Too Stiff
Haven't owned a 400, but I've read that the 200 and 400 are very different (more than they obviously should be). I know some don;t like the parabolic nature of the 200, some saying that they put too much pressure low down. What do you like about the Jigmaster or USJ over the 400 DJT (presume it is a DJT?).

absolutely fc. ! Can't see the constructive benefits of casting broad as oppossed to personal opnions myself. People have preferences, that's all.
