Paparazi Abrohlos Style

Matt Robinson, the supervisor from Fisheries being interviewed for a foxtel special. Matt is a top bloke and certainly looked after us all over there. Can't thank him and his team enough for their hospitality and guidance to make it as safe a boat trip as I have ever done.

Very special spot tangles
Even the dhingy ride over there was pretty special. Those surrounding shallow waters are beautiful. I must have taken 50 photos in half an hour, all of something different to look at.

true andy, on the way back with the magellan in sept last year we stayed there for 3 days, didnt want to leave, had smoking leos breaking all to ourselves! ridiculous fishing, lost count of how many dhuies i released and those cod in the lake were insane! especially when u see them coming strait to ya and taking a whole dhui head out ya hands! my old boss bowser tried to get on that island but the boys that are on there now arent going anywhere! worse thing is they dont surf and leos is prob one of the best breaks there apart fm supers! cant wait to get to that island again hopefully on the way up to exi in march! love the islands

Hey guys i see you found my
Hey guys i see you found my old stompin ground i was raised on the abrohlos and we even lived at leos when i was 3 months old and still have original photos of the ORIGINAL Potatoe cod that were there !!!
There were 3 but back in the 80s or 90s Alantis which was next to under water world in hilliaries for some reason grabbed all 3 of them and put them into tanks !! 1 didnt make it the other 2 lived for years until alantis shut down the under water world grabbed the pair , around 2000 1 of them died and now there is just the 1 left i havnt caught up with him for a couple of years but the last time i did was bout 4 years ago .
I always make the effort to speak to the people running the aquarium there and ask about me old mate !!! apperantley he was a bit cheeky when they first got him but now after a bit of training is very good.
Remember when Steve Irwin held his son Jack over to the croc and pulled him away i think either my Dad or my Mum still have the photos of my Dad holding me the same way over the lagoon there feeding the big cod and holding me in almost the same way these fish were big back then and im 32 now !!
LOVE THE ISLANDS !!

gone
unfort mate they killed the two big ones in the lagoon a while ago apparently because they were eating the other fish in there! shame really because they were awsome fish! my boss bowser used to tell me stories of those bohemuths! if your gona put a creature like that into a lagoon knowing well and truely how big theyll get then why the hell would you kill it when it gets too big! anyway hopefully the ones they have in there now will grow to the size of the old ones and hopefully they will not kill these ones.
