First time saw one of those i was on my uncles boat north of rottnest in the early seventies and he found his fishing spot by using transits on the island and mainland (and i remember at least one dhufish coming over the side).

Nice, sometimes I think I prefer the old paper sounders, the trick was setting it up so you could get about 3-4 tracks across the same sheet saving the cost of a new roll each time

Looks like the sounder is a Lowrance x15, one of the first to allow you to zoom down and not rotary like the old Marlins.

GME electrodepth model ED 81 I don't know how old it is I think I have had it like for ever. Still works.
