A good few dollars there mate, I'm about to walk in Tackle world at Geraldton to get a couple of stick baits, my collection will look pretty poor compared to yours LOL.
Please describe each one and your preference for use. In your description please indicate why each one is best for what conditions please. I also want to know which of those I should use to catch an 80cm Tailor in the surf, especially on lite gear.
lol @ sabre .. you my friend should perhaps take a risk buy one of these lures and reap the benifits of using quality gear ... you never know you might actually like it:)
To be honest though and all jokes aside all these lures dont catch me at all , if you notice they are mainly all doubles of the one colour etc as i hate nothing more than loosing 1 lure and not having a backup, all these lures are well prooven . But at the end of the day im SORRY i never knew that purchasing alot of fishing gear was a crime.
As for you vince perhaps if you think back an hour when you were in the shop you will remember the convo we had in re to these lures hahahahaha
Boys and their toys LOL. As I said to you today, the problem with owning so much gear when you are old (like Sherie LOL) you tend to lose them in many different ways.
thats a really impressive collection, im inspired hopfully my collection will b as that big soon, i will b comin in this weekend and spending a few $100 on stickbaits, hopefully i can get a good deal
No chase, clone, chisel nose plugs or sprat lures ........ ? Thats alot of coin to catch bait fish , haha , Nice collection there buddy might just have to do some shopping in your tackle bag .
Been around Vince just not up the northen beaches that much - got a bub on the way in the next few wks so cant hit the reserve as i dont get any reception up there , been fishing the club comps and hitting the shallows in the dinghy.
Oh! good news mate. I hope everything goes well. I haven't been getting as much as you obviously LOL. Been a bit grounded because of the hip but that will be sorted soon. Heading to my"spot" Saturday to do some popping with a friend. Hopefully I will have a report but that will be determined by the fish I guess. Best wishes to al at home mate. Keep us posted. Maybe we will have another front rower in our midst soon.
mmm, lure envy! and my wife gives me crap about my collection, every time she starts I am just going to show her this! Nice collection, I need to get some more stick baits, they seem to be doing really well.
I've caught fish after dark on duel hardcore sinking pencils and bullchops but basicly anything that has a rattle is worth a shot I think, most of the tailor I get come either 2-3 hours before darkness or hour or so after sun up. I think there more interested in feeding around tides or peak times than the sun up down as long as its within a couple of hours of it.
i have certainly found the best times for tailor to always be around dawn or dusk? so long as there is water over the reef that is but i have never found them to be tide change dependant .
Funny you mention tides. My grandfather used to trudge down to the greenough mouth on a lunchtime tide change an pick up his tailor or 2 for dinner. Rarely missed out. Dawn and dusk were always better numbers though.
I am sure he does but he still has to pay. It's the effort he puts in that gets the results. As I always say,if that's the industry you are in then you need to show off your ability. Well done Brendon.
