My Mojo is definitely back - but I paid the price in blood today.
First off , here is the report: Got a nice Baldy too today to complete the set, along with a big Breaksea and big Flattie plus sunk a few more tags in some fish. Rob got another dhuie and Baldie and poor Greg the skipper missed out.
2 Fishing trips in three days is highly unusual for me. But so far this year I can't complain about the success rate, lets hope it keeps improving.
This one went 77cm. Tagged a few more today, but nowhere near as many as we did on Saturday.
Now to the blood reference.... I finished the day in Joondalup Hospital getting my skull superglued back together again after smashing it on the bulkhead when we hit a wave with absolutely no back on it.... Ouch!!!! Blood on the deck in a big way!!!
There are a few pics of me with a bandage wrapped around my head and still fishing. In fact I had it on under my hat in this pic.
The worse part was I bruised a rib and tore a muscle when I came down from my mid air cabin crash. The pain from that was and still is much much worse than the sliced skull.
Ah well a tetnus shot and pain killers for the next few days,.... it was worth it, a great day on the water.
Cheers

good stuffI tell ya what ,
good stuff
I tell ya what , I've been heading in, and come across a phantom wave that jarred the boat sideways in a big way. very unusual, as not big seas.
my head was close to the grab rail around the windscreen when it happened , and if I'd been an inch or two closer , I'd have been knocked out.
You'd never think it could happen till you see it.
easy to see how you could get knocked for 6 and stumble out the boat.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

your gettin too old for this
your gettin too old for this stuff Andy. sounds like you need a nurse maid out there with you on the seas..
good to see you came up with the goods and like a true fisho a bit of blood and a few bruises wont hold you down, maybe just slow you up a bit.

Glad to hear you're okay. Might be a bit of justice though, teasing us with all your awesome fish.......

Where's the blood shots!!!!
Just couldnt resist in my trade. LOL.
Hope for a speedy recovery on the chest mate, if ther pain last > 2 weeks, it a dinged rib, otherwise a soft tissue injry. The head will recover with ease.
Cheers

Thanks Neels
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist.
The blood shots are coming I am told. Though I think they are more the funny photo's type shots with a big gauze pad tied to my head.
The rib crunch as the floor rose to meet my smashed up body was the worst (imagine being in a lift 2 storeys up and someone smacks you with a star picket across the noggin just as the lift cable breaks, the llift falls and you hit the ground with a crunch. ) Lets hope its just soft tissue. The doc checked the lungs and they are fine so thats about all we can do.
Cheers

Not fat for sure
But I think there is a kink in the body in this pic which makes it look skinnier than it actually is. It was reasonably well conditioned from memory, but certainly not as well as others I've caught this size.
