How'd you like this for an Aquarium?

How'd you like this for an Aquarium?

This is something like the one I won in the Coipasa Classic. Made by Unique Aquariums. All I have to do is pick a background and then a picture frame and they fill it with fish and hang it on a wall for me.

Tough choice is going to be where to hang it and what colour frame etc to get.

Fresh I think

Only as that is the type I won.

I always wanted a big aquarium. I've seen some massive ones in my time with some pretty big fish in them, but the hassle of changing water over makes me think I am better off starting with fresh on this small scale then progressing to a big tank at a later date.

I still think for a living piece of art they are awesome when framed like that.

Sherbs any time for a piss up mate, don't need an excuse. Will have to wait a while though if you want to see the aquarium, while I choose the background design and frame before it gets made up and mounted.

Cheers

Maintainance

The frame lifts off the front on a hinge and the top pots off so you can get inside and clean it. The pumps and lights are in the top. The frame hides it all.

I'm really impressed with them as art works. Not had a chance to test them as aquariums though as yet. I'm not an expert there but with the right fish, frame and backdrop I reckon it will look mint!

I rekon it will look real

I rekon it will look real good once you set it up.

There would be to much equipment for a marine tank and not enough space to hide it all with that type of set up.

Any ideas of what you are going to keep?

If you are interested I could lend you some books for you to read, information on fish species etc.

Been too busy organising comps and stuff like that to get it sorted.

We were only talking about it yesterday that we really should make a decision on where it is going to hang so we can get it put in.

Will take a few pics once its up and running for sure. Hopefully Bob hasn't skipped the country (hehehe). Actually looking forward to getting it up on the wall, just need the missus to make up her mind as to where it goes.

Cheers
