Took it out tonight with the family in the sound for a sighter Andy. I was always happy with the Genesis but have to admit Glass is nice.
Heading out tomorrow for the club comp to try and blood the decks. Also gotta get it run in ready for the Fishwrecked comp.
Behaved myself tonight and only went up to maybe 5000 revs and only for a quick spurt. Spent most of the time about 3-4000. Was an enjoyable cruise actually.
Didnt have the GPS hooked up and nearly ran into the mussel farm at the north end of GI. Couldnt see the marker lights at all.
It is a nice rig, popped around Tim's after he picked it up to have a sticky beak. Ceratinly is a classy boat and has more than ample space for 3-4 fisho's. Definately Jealous once I saw his sounder too, it certainly has a HUGE screen.
And I was the lucky one to boat the first big Dhu on Tims new rig. Was also a PB for me at 11.5 kg on the ROFC club scales. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5604146

Thanks Guys.
Boat goes really well. Got a bit wet there once when we had green water right over the top. Popped the front clears off and smashed us right in the face. Got a bit cold after that.
Jimbo was the lucky deckie who decked the first Dhuie for the boat. Was a nice fish too and put up a good fight in 40m of water (hint hint Andy).
Not a Hope there Holth.
Gave him as much info as I gave you. Somewhere East of the SW Bank.
That constant varying of speed etc can be a pain but it is worth it in the end. Good thing about yesterday was the conditions didnt allow you to go too fast so it actually suited a day of running in.

Nice look away from the screen for a few minutes and I am the the butt of your jokes. Geez thanks guys :(
Cheers Paul, Troy and I will be looking for you on the day. And yes it will be a good experience for me as to date the furthest I have taken my boat out offshore is around 22 k's. It is very rare that I get out further than just past the five as occassions when I have another person on board are sparce. And I like to favour the side of caution when fishing alone. I certainly am looking forward to the increased chances of finally having some decent fish caught on my boat!
I forgot we also had another first catch for Tims new vessel.
A Blue and Grey jumper fish! And I caught it
If you have never seen one I will ask matthew to post a pic of it hehehe
Ok seriously, after Tim tried to drown us all on his boat both Tim and Matthew hung their jumpers up to dry on the canopy. Shortly after we noticed matthews blue grey fleece jumper floating away and sinking into the deep.
Some short time after it had completely dissapeared I thought I had a bite! I started winding and definately had weight from the beginning but no fight. It was Matthew-MAKO jumper! I had pulled it up from 40 mtrs of water. Tim tried to get me to pose for a photo but I wouldnt be in it. Tim also suggested it be a catch and release fleecey hehehe but Matthew didnt like the idea of that.
So hows that for a fishy story ;)
nice boat tim. iam boat crazy atm. iam not sure what boat to get. but something like yours is a reel winner. you should have lots of good times in that.
