the one at the bottom is near tranby house, easy to get too and good fish as well.

Hey Blake
Have you ever fished in that waterway between the island and Ascot? It looks promising on the satellite.

Been hunting through there a couple of times in the kayak Colin. Didn't have any luck with Breamski, the waterway was full of small mullet tho.
The top one's great, just tie off to one of the overhangs.

Interesting - thanks Jody
Are you allowed to net or trap the mullet there?

Thanks again Jody. Were you using bait, soft plastics or lures
when you were chasing the bream?

Im pretty sure the waterway between the bridges at ascot is closed to fishing, similar to herrison island.... and the larger section blake has highlighted is mostly swamp.

Hi Ya, Thanks Blake. I
Hi Ya,
Thanks Blake. I have walked teh path from Garret Road to Tranby and longingly looked at the river bank on both sides and wondered. Looks like I might have to get the waders out and try walking through some of that swampy area. Provided I don't sink through the bottom should be OK. Will have to be careful.
I have been told that the swampy area down streem from, and on the same side as, Clarkson Reserve is pretty good too but because of the swamp I haven't tried there either. Again, looks like a waders spot if for no other reason to protect from possible tiger snakes.
Cheers.
