GT'S on the Great Barrier Reef

Just got back from Hamilton Island. Spent a day out on the reef platform watching 20kg plus GTs swim around the platform and could not wet a line. Weather was perfect. The day I go fishing it is blowing its but off with 25plus knot winds. manage to get into a few of GTs. First time ever and the first fishing was estimate at 25kg plus. Rest all around 20 kg. Arms and shoulers like jelly by the end of the day. Then spent 3.5 hours getting back to the island in 2-2.5m seas. But had a great day. Another fish off my list.

They were great. Found the fish and gave expert advise on how to catch GTs. Weather was not the best but the vessel handled it perfect.
