i know when we went up to exxy, it can be hard to identfy some fish, of which you helped us out with that red bass i caught.
still a good trev and damn they go hard big time

very difficult
Some of the trevally species are particulary difficult to identify - bludgers and gold spots are a common one.
Another is mangrove jack/dark tailed sea perch and red bass, rather easy when you've seen a few fresh out of the water, but after being in an icebox all day they lose some definition and easily identifiable characteristics.
Lots of people get confused with NW Snapper, unfortunately that title didn't help at all. :( Spangleds and blue line are easy with the colour differention, blue spot emperor do make it a little more confusing. Really easy once you've seen a few though.
