A few more tailor
Submitted by Colin Hay on Sat, 2009-11-14 22:32
Matt (Mako) and I found the tailor really on the bite this afternoon and bagged out in an hour (after releasing a dozen fish and giving a few away).
These are a few of the captures.
I love the spring tailor run.

I was bit washed out Russ and Sandy
Mako and I got an absolute drenching as the waves were smashing over the rocks pretty consistently.
I had to put on a water proof jacket eventually.
We did go into Maccas this time, but we were looking a bit more respectable than the other day.

The Helena River
There is normally not much water in it anymore unless the dam overflows.

Thanks Brad I would trade them all for one barra

You're right Steve
They are all over the place at the moment. It is really just a matter of putting in some time, and having your bait or lure in the water at a spot where you think tailor will be, and you will get into them.

Try trigg
With unweight bait and keep a reel moving But lots of snags around So take plenty of rigs
