Makes you wonder...
...how big do they get? Debatable whether one that size would fit into a pot...ex crayfishing boss of mine pulled a pot one day with a METRE long leg stuck in it. These things would be walking around the ocean floor like indestructable tanks, gobbling up snapper, dhufish, etc....really anything careless enough to get to close!
Well done, that's a ripper!

Noice
I've seen some down at Hamo Bay that I could not get my loop around - biggest I've ever seen. Have looked many times again for the spot, but cannot find it. Was only in ten metres with the crays in individual limestone tunnels that a diver (on scuba) could fit down. I went down one tunnel about 2 body lengths then the cray came at me - got out, just. Felt like I was going to be a meal!
Cheers Pete

We got one no as big as that but it took
Bob and I two days to eat him, the first thing he looked at when it was pulled from the pot was thank god it wasn't a female other wise we would have had to throw her back.

Size
Have seen them jammed tail first in a 14inch diameter neck of a craypot.Mates deckie went for a dive on groung north west of Bunbury in 180feet of water.Reported crays that wouldn't have fitted inside a pot let alone got through the neck

Awesome cray. Just seeing one that size under the water would be great. I'll be looking for one of my own soon....
