One of the nice cobbler we got into down south - My head lamp sorta ruined the photo so had to be cropped.

cobbler are a awsome tasting
cobbler are a awsome tasting fish but can be hard to clean if you dont no what your doing we get a few here in mandurah.

They taste awesome, most of the bottom of that esky is filled with drinks thou, we forgot to take a bucket on the second boat. :(

try eatin rock cod....ugly looking fish but yummy as...me and the old man used to catch them over east and mum cooked em up...most people think shit fish but are actually quite tasty....

very nice to eat, the best way to get there skin of i find is to dip em in boling hot water.Give it 30secs pull it out an the bloody skin just about falls of,there a good size hay!!!

looks like you got a few and they look like a decent size as well. i remember when i was a kid and there use to be hundreds of them in the swan river almost like blowies.

Ugly muts!
They are the ugliest fish I reckon that lives in our inshore waters but boy they are tasty but they have a very strong scent which leaves you smelly for a bit! =]

Easy to clean
Believe it or not they are one of the easiest fish to clean although there are 3 different knives involved in the process, heading, filleting, skinning. You shouldn't eat them until they have been in the fridge for at least 24 hours or longer and the flesh has set. Lightly fried with egg and breadcrumbs and then salted with a squeeze of lemon juice - sensational.

we get heaps here in rocko but they can be a pain to clean sumtimes i reckon there better eating than pinkies but!!
