Work has started on it but I haven't heard how long it will take to fill the gap in or when people will be allowed out to the end. While the end of the jetty has been inaccessable it has fallen into disrepair and will need urgent action once they can get to it.
If you have access to a boat you can tie up to it or climb the ladder and fish from the top. There have been some real nice yellow fin bream caught from the area lately.
When we got the call out [Sea Rescue]at the time of the fire,we were told it was some school kids who lit it while they were fishing.Haven't heard of anyone being prosecuted for it though.

Weren't a couple of blokes fined for climbing on the jetty a while back when the fire first occurred?
