To big for bait . Cooked and pickled. Ripped of mask . Around my arm also. He lost in end. Made 5 big jars out of him.just under 4 kilo with head on.

Short and sweet.
And to think the gloomy occys (Octopus Tetricus) dont live much longer than 3 years , they must do some growing considering there tiny birth weights.
Got a 1.5kg the other day who had sealed himself in pot with about 10 empty razorfish shells like a shield.
They taste awesome pickled but you do tend to warm to them the more you interact with them.

Tend to agree with you .they are amazing smart critters. They love razor mussels. Prick of a life. Mate look after eggs , die of starvation .they your babies eat you. Thinking about it time to kick my kids out .:)

Hahahaha you'll be to tough n salty they'll say. Thats a big sucker rite there. Ive had the mask ripped off when younger n the old sucker tatts over my back where ya can't reach to pull them off.
