45cm Bartailed Flathead and Lure (mid-Feb 2012)

This one is from mid-February. 45cm. The 1/8oz TT blade in burnt orange that got him is below. Ordinary sized dinner plate.

Cooking up
I fillet and skin them, crumb them, fry them in good olive oil with a little butter, then a squeeze of fresh lemon and pepper to taste. They come up awesome.

personally myself, i find
personally myself, i find filleting it, you lose a bit of meat. gutted and scaled is perfect. pick the meat off the bone, and tjhe skin goes all crispy and tasty :D
