10 Pound Snapper off the coast of Dominican Republic. About 350 Yards deep. Here are a few pics so you can help me figure out what type of snapper it is, we call it SAMA here.

Nice fish Clalo20
Do you fish out there regularly or was that just a holiday trip?
Nice boats in the background!!!
Looks like a cross between a Morwong and a pink snapper to me.
Fishing that depth you would get either very sore arms or you must be using a winch of some kind? Can you give us some more info?
Cheers

Queen Snapper
The head shape looks like a queen snapper without the lips. Certainly looks like a cross bread of some of the species we get here. I think Jeje called them Denti? is that correct?
Certainly looking foward to hearing a bit more about the capture and the fishing over there!! What depth is 350 yards in meters?
Cheers,
Adam

far out
320m, that is utterly ridiculous. You would want to make sure your bait stayed on good. Imagine dropping down and not knowing your bait had parted company with your hooks half way down :X

No Electronics
I live here in the Dominican Republic and thanks about the boat, it is a 400 EC Sea Ray.
I was fishing the Shimano Butterfly Jigs, actually the Capt. Harry's Hopper jigs, and I drop that deep and just start jigging. When you don't catch anything is a pain to bring it back but when you have a fish on the exitement does'nt let you get tired.
In this same spot we also catch alot of Jacks, not so deep though. This is a steep drop there is in the ocean bed.
Avet SX 6/4 Reel
30 pound Braid
Shimano Trevala Jigging Rod
Hopper Jig
Thank You,
Carlos

Pictures
Hi Clalo20, to post more pictures just go to create content and select "create image", then follow your nose to see how to upload a pic. Much the same way you did in this thread. Then if you want to add a pic to a thread then simply write a message then preview the message. Place the cursor in the message where you want the pic to go and then press the "click to add image" button. All the fishwrecked images will be then available to add to the thread.
To simplify the search you can click on the "my images" button at the top of the image preview screen and select one of your images that you have already uploaded. Then choose to add the original size image or just a thumbnail. Hope that helps.
Cheers
