try some of the smaller dams around, schools of reddies will be easier to find by foot. Also the pools in the creeks, runoffs etc that havent dried up should have some hungry fish in them.

Yea thanks for that lurcha hopefully i can get one like the one in your picture but i dont think thats very likely.

Have you been getting any in the rivers or dams lately?

Glen Mervyn Dam is always good for a feed of reddies and some big trout swimming around in there but if there are boats or jetskis in there it makes the fishing a bit harder. Go for a drive along Scenic Drive off Mungalup Rd, it runs along part of the Collie River, plenty of good perching spots along there and I have done well fishing some of the deeper pools along there. Turnoff Coalfields Hwy about 5km before Allanson and fish the upper reaches of the dam, plenty of logs and snags around that way and I did well around that area when I lived in Collie last year.

We decided to go to the capel river and got a good feed of reddies i posted some pics in river/esturine fishing. biggest was 30cms.
