Dont know what the exact
Dont know what the exact water temps will be, nor if they forecast them, but unfortunately last season was unusually warm due to a strong la nina effect (combined with overall general global warming, but mostly la nina). We unfortunately will not have this effect next season, so will be 'back to normal'. There may be a predicted temp change somewhere though in the la nina/el nino cycle? Was certainly a cracker year for them this year (though, only managed a sharkie myself).
Will have to get a mackie in my tub next season, but perhaps somewhere a bit more northerly.
On the plus side, even though the mackie season is unlikely as good, we're also pretty unlikely to get a fizzer salmon year like we did this year, so at least there'll still be some fast pelagics to catch even if they're the green and round variety.
