Warroora trip
Submitted by captain zac on Wed, 2015-04-22 07:18
Hi guys, new on the forum so this is my first post.
I'm planning a trip up to Warroora with a few mates at the end of May, none of us have been before so I'm looking for some info on what we can expect.
I'm always keen on catching a few squid but haven't heard of there are squid and octopus up there. A few of us are also keen divers but haven't heard of there are crays up there?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks very much!

Hi zac Welcome to the forum
Hi zac
Welcome to the forum there is plenty to learn around here.
When i was last up there, there was plenty of squid to be had just off the beaches and some of the biggest i have caught, tubes greater then 30cm in length.
There are plenty of crays around just be very mindfull of the sancuary zones. We always got a feed or 2 in the inner reefs.
And if you can find some good ground in the 40-60m there are some stonker reds up that way.
Have a great trip.
Cheers
