The policeman giving the guys legs a work over should be sacked, no ifs no buts, and it should happen right now. For justice to be respected it should be prompt and visible to all, not a behind closed door reprimand, that is if you want the force to be creditable and respected
No place in any police force for brutal people like him, one has to wonder what dark sort of character hides within him.
That sort of action has nothing to do with effecting an arrest
I agree that this was overstepping the mark - but
how often do we hear about violent robberies and assaults and guys like this getting off because they were "on drugs", i have a mate who is a 20+ year cop, and the stuff he tells me about his day to day grind - picking up the same guys over and over for assaults and robberies only for a judge to let them off, getting bitten, spat on, assaulted and paid crap money makes me think there would come a point where yes you would snap
and to confirm - not condoning this but am not surprised by it either
Absolutely! It's easy to pick out the bad moments cops have as Mr Day does, but forgets the everyday good stuff they do and the shit they put up with from garbage. Same here mate don't like what I saw on that video but the full story and cicumstance is not there. I wouldn't do their job for quids.
It looks very bad and is totally excessive force. I think the best course of action would be to move these 6 cops to the child abuse unit as the arrest team.
how come a trained professional in mental health calls the police to do a check on somebody who clearly has issues? They are not trained to deal with this appropriately, where as the physiologist would have been. Then they turn up with six officers for a welfare check? Bollocks that there is no other history here before the officers turned up.
Not a good result for anyone here either way, more a symptom of our poor mental health services than anything.

Forgot about that
Yep same same could be a cultural thing in that station. All involved should be split up sent to different stations or sacked.
