Hmm..
I don't think a CC would be suitable for travelling 40nm out from Cape Nat. We get some dodgy weather along with cold winds.
He's looking for something at least 7-8m, possibly a Cat or large Mono Ali if that's helps you guys narrow down your suggestions

Friend's dad has one in
Friend's dad has one in Exmouth but I haven't ever been in it so can't comment on the ride.
His has the yanmar diesel in it, I'm aware of at least one other that had a few problems fine tuning the motor selection.
Likes the boat, says there are a few bugs with it, he is not real keen on westerberg marine after the build experience though.
Jim at Marineline in Gnangara has built a couple IIRC.

decided to upgrade the southbound for a while, i,ll still get to keep ma balls lol, mrs has been eying up the newly sharpened(thanks mick) swabo
, now upgrading the tranny to a 1kw, adding structure scan, new seats, new vhf & 27meg & adding fusion ipod box,
i,m also gonna get 2 x paintball guns for micky and nizzy,
that should keep me happy for a bit, oh yeah and gonna get an elec reel
