Two rocks shark cave
Submitted by Paul G on Sun, 2011-02-13 19:38
Dived today out from two rocks, lots of fish starting to return to the inside areas, numbers off dhuies, snapper,BB,queen snapper.on the last dive today we found a cave with a gray nurse shark around 8 foot.what an awsome experiance.Came within 2foot of our faces .Was very proud of Jesses mate Kye as in22m of water his reg fell to bits and was out of air he did not panic made his way to jesse and they sorted it out .Finding his second reg wich got caught behind his tank. Not bad for a 14 year old kid with only 30 dives under his belt well done Kye.Good to know they are thinking and on the ball as there are no second chances down there.bagged out on crays also.

That is awesome stuff. I think the beauty of diving that area is that it's fairly untouched ground as compared to Rotto etc.

that would have been a great
that would have been a great experience for all of you. gooid to see young Kye had the brains to stay calm in a predicament like that one. would have been freaky not having air in a cave.
So , who had the camera ?
well done on bagging out on the crays

Great Experience
Sounds like a couple of great experiences. Large sealife is always great to encounter. Having a gear malfunction and remaining calm is proof of the young guys resolve. Also a healthy reminder to the rest of us to check your gear and to stay close to your dive buddies on a deeper dive. Well done on the crays as well; there hasn't been that much talk about crays lately.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.

Sounds like a pretty spectacular day Paul
Good to run into you yesterday mate. Kye is a pretty smart young bloke and he has a good buddy in Jessie.
You certainly had nmore excitement than we had up on the beaches to the north of you.
