Turtle- Lancelin

I was out fishing on Sunday from Lano- was about 15mile out when a turtle appeared on the surface near us. I have not seen or heard of turtles being that far south. At least i haven't seen any.
Another note- We were drifting about 4 mile out from town, I hooked up to something sizeable that spooled my TLD25 loaded with 50lb braid on a fully locked drag within a minute. Must have been a very big shark? I had approx 500yards on the spool!

i would say that whatever you had on that spooled you would have been one of them biiiiiiig sharks that have been around lately
