Turtle Dove Shoal
Craig from Saltwater Charters is starting the Abrolhos season at the end of next week and needing to get the boat up there, there might be the option for a trip up Turtle Dove Shoals.
Idea is to leave with the boat from Hillary's Tuesday evening (20th), get to Jurien sunrise, fish all morning, then head out to turtle dove shoals around midday. Then fish the shoal all night and perhaps a little bit in the morning, then head back to Geraltdon by midday Thursday (22nd). If the weathers not brilliant, then would probably overnight somewhere closer to the coast.
Basically a short trip to some very productive fishing areas and offset fuel costs for Craig a bit. Havent got any costs yet, but will be cheap. Will have to sort out some transport back from Gero, but depends on whether anyones interested.
So anyone interested in a quick midweek trip to some awesome fishing grounds?

A once off Danno. Cost
A once off Danno.
Cost wise, i'm not sure exactly seeing as Craig is currently offshore in the gulf of Carpeteria somewhere and will need to confirm. Not a lot more than a charter though, and less than two (few hundred at a guess?). Probably some flexibility.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Ok, anyone interested, send a pm and i'll get back to you.
Should work out as about 24hrs of fishing time in total (plus a fair few driving between). Will be anchored off turtle dove wednesday night so should be some interesting and fun captures (I wonder if we should burley the hell out of it or go all naturale).

Yeah I recon I might be in.
Yeah I recon I might be in. Going to talk to the boss tomorrow. Only thing he might have an issue with is the fact that I wont be able to run the concert we have on Thursday night. Stoopid Kelly Clarkson. Why couldn't she pick another night to come.

wow turtle dove
wow
turtle dove shoals.
what an opportunity. looks very enticing
(nice idea to burley the $#it out of the place if anchored , but may well bring in a few sharks)
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Opportunity
Sounds like a great opportunity to have a fairly serious fish at an interesting location.

Seems like a bit of
Seems like a bit of interest, so should be good. At this stage if we have 8 people in total, then we're looking at around $400 per person (works out as pretty great value if you consider the number of hours fishing is almost 24hrs). Will see if theres a bit of wiggle room there.
Need to sort out transport, but if there are 8 people, at a squeeze could fit between two large cars. I'll see if there are other options (e.g. hiring a 12 seater minibus). There may be some bus charter companies that could sort something out and it shouldnt work out as that much per person.
$500 for a falcon seems a bit steep though? Was that a single day, non-return to base though? If two cars in total, then not sure how well a falcon would hold 4 lots of fishing gear, plus the rods? Might have different models, or take an extra car or something though? I tried one or two places with online booking but they said none were available on that day though.
Could get someone to drive up from Perth to pick people up. Obviously there'd be some cash, paid fuel costs and some fillets (and people being picked up could alternate driving so they'd only be driving up).

Ok, I think i've sent info
Ok, I think i've sent info to most people so far (may be 1 or 2 i'm missing).
If you could let me know either way whether you're interested, it would help. Also, if price is a problem, then let me know and i'll see what I can do (no point having hardly anyone if dropping the price a bit could get a few more, so let me know)
