Theft from boats.

I have not used my boat for a few months due to weather, work and commitments and unfortunately it is parked outside on the verge.  I was readying the boat for a fish and have discovered that my fire extinguisher, boat hook , gaff, eprib, and life jackets have been stolen.

Yeah yeah, I know, I should not leave these things in my boat, but ...........  sigh!  Wish the pr*cks would use their own money to buy stuff instead of stealing form someone else.

In this day and age

In this day and age unfortunately everything needs to be kept underlock and key with a couple of very nasty dogs as backup.

Hopefully your insurance will cover the loss

Bright side

Look on the bright side I suppose Alfred, at least your boats still there. Unfortunately my new boat won't fit out the back so I have to park it in the driveway. I've chained it to a fence post and fitted a helmet hitch to it. I make sure its left empty of all tempting bits and pieces.

Hopefully your insurance will look after you.

Unfortunately the value will be too small to make it worth claiming from insurance.  I am making a parking bay, which will hopefully make the boat less noticeable form the road.  Planning to build in a lock down loop anchored into a drum of cement.

We sometimes get people

We sometimes get people walking back from pubs in joondalup half pissed and our next door neighbour had stuff taken from his boat which was left outside, we had a trailer moved 80m down the street and a letter box smashed and pinched in one night.
