just watching the possible track on Met Eye and while it’s forcast to go out wide and drift left at Cat 5, it’s a similar track that Alby took in April 1978. That killed a few people, had wildfires going and the Busso jetty got knocked over. I’ve asked the BOM if this is a possibility, I’m waiting on their reply.

roll the dice , take your chances.

True , however its also good to consider that many many cyclones on that exsact predicted path , have just continued west and brushed xmas island , or moved south west

until they hit cooler waters in ocean and just die out.

Not saying it wont come down by my laymans knowledge and keen weather watcher puts me at maybe 70% shooting off west and 30% heading back into WA coast, but

hey they are still unpredictable even to the experts.

As long as it misses Broome I

As long as it misses Broome I don't care, we have had enough rain this season.
What are your sea temps down south? That will be the biggest factor for it to travel south. Ours here feel like they are cooling down.

That’ll make it interesting for the coastal communities then. I used to get access to those subscriber things from BOM went I was working at Woodside.

There was a forecast a week

Sun, 2018-03-18 16:41

There was a forecast a week ago suggesting it would come right down the coast. Is the water temperature high enough? Not sure on that one but imagine Mackies, Salmon and a cyclone in the sound.

Gonna have to move my annual

Sun, 2018-03-18 17:19

Gonna have to move my annual trip I think!

from 1998 to 2015 I lost 4 days total to weather in over 30 trips to Exmouth, by going last week of March / first week of April. But....Last two years I’ve lost 6 days.

Time to move to last week of April / first week of May I think (assuming no school hols around then?!).

Billfish still around Exx in May? Still chase rubys then?
